OUR PASTOR
Rev. Mathew Oommen is the founder of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church. He has been serving the lord for the past 30 years taking the Lord’s name to the world. He has been in the Lord's service in India and USA as a missionary, evangelist, pastor, teacher and a church leader. He has also traveled widely around the world to evangelize, mentor and preach.
Having always been under His Divine calling, Pastor later traveled to New Jersey where he served as a Pastor-in-charge in Teaneck IPC church for a couple of years before travelling to Houston, where he founded the Emmanuel Pentecostal church to reach out to mainly the southwest Houston community.
The church has grown many times in proportions since its inception. He has also shared responsibilities such as the Vice-President of IPC Midwest Region, President of Houston Pentecostal Fellowship, President of IPC Houston Fellowship and Pastor of Bethel Pentecostal Church, Chicago. Now Rev. Mathew Oommen serves as the senior Pastor of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church.

Welcome to the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church, Houston, TX ! Our vision is to provide people from all backgrounds, with special emphasis on the southwest Houston community, a place to worship God with freedom while experiencing the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit.
EPC believes that fellowship through a Church among believers is essential to lead a successful Christian life and we are committed to teach, discipline and challenge our members into developing a closer and deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
In 2009, a new church building was constructed to worship the Almighty God. The Lord is using the church for the spiritual growth of the community. We serve God with gratitude and joy for His mighty works throughout the years. All glory and honor to God!! EPC is affiliated with the Indian Pentecostal Church of God, Kumbanadu, Kerala, India.

OUR HISTORY
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Phil 1:6). EPC was begun after divine guidance that was received by Rev. Mathew Oommen, while spending days in fasting and prayer, seeking God in Novenber of 1994. In the beginning, the only members were Pastor and his family. As weeks went by, the Lord added more people to the church.
The fellowship was registered with the Secretary of the State of Texas in January of 1995 as Emmanuel Pentecostal Church of Houston. EPC is now affiliated with the Indian Pentecostal Church of God, Kumbanadu, Kerala, India. After worshiping the Lord in rented buildings for almost 10 years, the Lord helped the church to buy the current property in June 2003. In 2009, we were able to rebuild our church and make a bigger sanctuary by the grace of God.
